We are currently working mainly on our #SAVEKARIMUNJAWA movement. But you can find some of our other projects here.

Bunga Jabe is our self-built homestay on Kemujan, Karimunjawa Islands. Our guests can stay here in huts built from natural products, enjoy our own beach and book snorkelling adventures or batik and coconut oil workshops.

The idea of our organisation was born right here and until now the place also serves us as a working and meeting place.

Another threat to our marine ecosystem are huge cargo ships that take shortcuts near our coral reefs, especially in stormy weather, and sometimes destroy and crash them. Together with local fishermen, we hold these ships and companies accountable, fight for compensation and try to raise awareness about the problem.

We make our own batik from recycled and sustainable products. In the traditional Indonesian way, we use wax, which we apply to the fabric either with self-made stamps or by hand. With the help of the wax, certain areas are left out of the dyeing process and unique patterns and motifs are created. This kind of batik has  a high cultural value in Indonesia and there are many important steps that lead to the final product.
We have recently started dyeing our fabrics with natural colours.
